Fiemme valley - Summer & Winter

The Fiemme valley is really special - summer and winter!
If you love being in contact with nature and enjoy outdoor activities, well, you are going to experience your dream holiday!

Summer activities

The Paneveggio natural park - as well as a number of other locations - is rich in trails to suit hikers, Nordic Walkers and trekkers.
Expert or freshman, you will surely find a route meeting your skill: try the Sentiero del Cristo Pensante trail, and admire the Venegia valley along with the Baita Segantini, one of the most photographed Alpine sights, with the astonishingly towering Pale di San Martino in the background, or pick the path leading from the Rolle pass to the tiny Colbricòn lakes, set in an interesting natural and archaeological area. You will cross forests of Spruce, also known as "Resonance Spruce". Such tree owes its name to its top quality wood, which is used for making resonance chambers for the finest musical instruments.

The park also features a spectacular terrace from which you can watch deer grazing in a large enclosure.

Approaching Predazzo, just 6 km away, we also recommend an easy walk up to the waterfall, in Fiemme valley's woodlands.

And, to introduce the little ones to hiking, you must call at Giro d'Ali: a special child-tailored itinerary unwinding among small waterfalls, stone steps, tiny suspension bridges, and floating wooden rides - perfect for discovering nature!
The path is also pram and buggy-friendly!

While, if you are a mountain bike lover, you will be happy to find out that you can ride throughout the Fiemme valley along the cycle path immersed in the woods along the mountain slopes.

Over 300 km itineraries for enjoying breathtaking panoramas at every bend, discovering an area drenched in culture, history and tradition, cycling in total harmony with nature.

Here are just a few ideas:

  • the Urogalli Lago Cece itinerary: plunged in nature and woodlands
  • the Travignolo Sottosassa Cliffs itinerary: a path along the banks of river Travignolo
  • the World War I Cauriol itinerary: a dive into the past among the Lagorai crests.

Fancy a little more adrenaline? Try out downhill mountain biking!
The Dolomite slopes are ideal for this new sporting discipline: shoot down safe unsurfaced paths and steep rides!

Winter activities

The ski area of Fiemme Valley is one of the most beautiful in the Alps, an unparalleled location for Alpine and Nordic skiers, with over 50 cutting-edge ski lift facilities, and 100 km slopes, snowpark, and two sledge tracks.

Our hotel is just 2.5 km away from the Ski Area Lusia Moena - Bellamonte ski lift facilities, which are easy to reach with the free shuttle running frequently daily with a stop right in front of the hotel.

You can go ice skating close to Bellamonte, at the Stadio del Ghiaccio ice rink in Cavalese, or do it outdoor near Lago di Tesero.

The Fiemme valley also proposes a number of cross country- skiing options. The over 150 km of rings and trails also host leading national and international sports events, like the Marcialonga, just to name one.
Right in Bellamonte you can enjoy a stunning cross country-skiing ring, medium difficulty, which unwinds through dramatic spruce, pine, and larch woodlands scattered with splendid traditional mountain huts.

The little ones will love the fun Tana degli Gnomi (namely the Gnomes' Den): a true miniature theme park on the snow, near the Bellamonte - Castelir ski lift facilities, also open in summer.

Discover the land immersed in white magical silence on one of the many snowshoe excursions organised by the Fiemme valley tourist board.

Suitable for grownups and kids, such itineraries will lead you to the discovery of the secret life of wild animals, like deer, roe deer, and foxes.
